Drayton Surgery – Advanced Warning of Road Works 26th Apri – 21st May

Posted on:

Work is progressing well on the extension to our Drayton Surgery, and we are now entering the final weeks of the project.

We are reaching a critical point where a new high-voltage electricity supply needs to be routed to the surgery.  Unfortunately, this involves road works on School Road and Manor Farm Close.

From 26th April, UK Power Networks will commence works on Manor Farm Close, resulting in a lane closure on the road.  Parking and access to the surgery and pharmacy will be limited.

The works on Manor Farm Close are expected to be completed by May 6th.

Following the works on Manor Farm Close, work will commence on School Road.  This will see School Road being closed between the junction with Hall Lane and the junction with Manor Farm Close.  A diversion will be in place routing traffic to the northern end of School Road via Hall Lane, Drayton Lane and Reepham Road to access School Road.

We will be trying to limit patient access to the Drayton Surgery to minimise disruption as much as possible. We recommend that patients attend Drayton Surgery only for pre-booked appointments. For any queries, please use our online services, such as the NHS App or our website, or call us to discuss your concerns.

Our Horsham St. Faiths and Horsford branches will remain open as usual. However, we would like to remind you to limit unnecessary visits to these surgeries, which will help minimise traffic in these areas.

More information will be available about the roadworks on the Norfolk Roadworks website https://one.network/?GB142506239.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these vital road works but are looking forward to being fully operational in the new extension in the Summer of 2025.
